What to expect on your first visit
The Shiloh Clinic Experience
Our welcoming team will greet you upon arrival and guide you through our check-in process. We will then have you complete some paperwork to gather essential information and ensure you understand our privacy and financial policies. If you have any questions, we’re happy to assist you every step of the way.
History & Examination
To better understand the root cause of your concerns and how we can help, we’ll take the time to ask about your symptoms, health history, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to your condition. We’ll also conduct a series of orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic tests to assess your overall health. Our goal is to provide you with a clear picture of what’s going on and the best path forward for your care.
X-ray Studies
At Shiloh Clinic, we use advanced digital X-ray technology to gain a clear understanding of your skeletal health. X-rays can provide valuable insight into your condition, helping us determine the safest and most effective adjustments for you. In some cases, X-rays are necessary to rule out serious concerns or to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. If needed, we’ll guide you through a quick and comfortable imaging process in our radiology facility. Your well-being is always our top priority
Report of Findings
After your examination, the doctor will carefully review the findings with you and discuss the best course of action for your care. This may include chiropractic treatment, therapeutic modalities, orthopedic support, massage therapy, nutritional guidance, or, if necessary, a referral to a medical specialist. We will walk you through your options and ensure you have a clear understanding of what to expect, so you feel confident and supported every step of the way.
The Adjustment
Our in-office care typically includes spinal adjustments or gentle manipulation of other skeletal areas to restore proper movement and alignment. Adjustments are precise, controlled techniques designed to improve mobility and relieve tension. Depending on your needs, your care may also involve muscle stretching or trigger point therapy to enhance comfort and flexibility. Most treatments are gentle and well-tolerated, with sessions typically being brief. The benefits of spinal adjustments build over time, helping to support long-term healing and overall well-being.
Home Instructions
Before you leave, we’ll provide personalized instructions to support your healing at home. This may include guidance on using ice or heat, ergonomic tips to avoid strain, and simple exercises or stretches to enhance your recovery. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident in managing your care between visits. If you have any questions, we’re always here to support you.
